Description:
This project was my first big remote interior design project, which I really enjoyed from the beginning until the last day. A young couple (Marcela and Hector) bought land in the mountains of Colorado and want to build their dream house. The house is under construction, so hopefully, I can show you the real photos very soon. They are building a single-family home with an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in a mountain town in Colorado. The house has 3 levels and approximately 3,300 sqft (305 sqm) of the construction area. The ADU is intended to be for rent and is fully independent of the main house.
Main Level
This full floor is considered the social area of the house and is open to all our visitors. It follows the open-plan concept. This level includes:
Basement Level
Upper Level
ADU Unit
A 250 sqft vacation guest suite with a kitchenette. The unit will be used as a short-term vacation rental. The room must be designed to comfortably accommodate two adult guests. It does not need to be
ADA compliant, but the design must focus on safety and comfort for seniors.
